She has held leadership roles at distinguished institutions such as Brooks School and The Pike School, combining deep educational insight with elite-level communications expertise.
An Independent School Leader: A Career Built on Trust and Impact
Kate Moran served as Director of Communications and Marketing at Brooks School, where she led the school’s brand, messaging, and marketing strategy and acted as a trusted advisor to the Head of School and Board of Trustees. She provided guidance on reputation management, media relations, and critical communications, helping the school navigate complex challenges with confidence.
Earlier at The Pike School, Kate held transformative leadership roles, including Assistant Head of School and Director of External Affairs. She managed a $16M institutional revenue portfolio and played a central role in shaping the school’s narrative around strategic planning and capital campaigns, driving enrollment, donor engagement, and institutional growth.
A Diverse Path to Expertise
Kate’s professional journey spans multiple sectors, giving her a rare perspective on crisis, strategy, and storytelling. She founded her own PR and marketing consultancy, advising Fortune 500 companies, startups, and mission-driven organizations. Her experience also includes launching a tech startup, interning at the White House, and teaching with Teach for America. A graduate of Syracuse University, Kate lives in New England with her husband and three sons.
